If you've been a netizen for a while, the key art for this game likely invoked either warm nostalgia, or intense fear and potential panic.

However you feel about that era, this game captures it and more.

Demonpact: Clarice is an RPG maker game where you and your friend summon a demon, and then need to find someone else's soul to use as payment instead of your own. Chaos and stupidity ensues.

Combat is simple, but a large roster of varied characters keeps things interesting.

The game is relatively short and has 10 endings, and you are strongly encouraged to explore more than 1. The game has tools to make things go faster on future runs.

The real draw of the game is, of course, the writing. Characters are weird, edgy, and crass, but they have heart. It's weaponized teenager OCs. The story takes weird, esoteric turns. The game loudly proclaims "CH-CH-CH-CH-CHOICE" whenever you have to make a "choice that effects the story."

It's beautiful.

I'm going to be 100% honest, you probably saw the key art and immediately knew if this game is for you. If you think it is; it probably is. And it's free! So check it out.
